ARSOW – Nepal has been working in various sectors of social development with the view of enhance livelihoods of rural people. The major sectors supported by ARSOW- Nepal are: Social Mobilization, Non-formal Education, Renewable Energy Promotion, Natural Resource Management, Micro Enterprises Promotion, Capacity Building, Public Health, Water Supply and Sanitation etc.
The major projects implemented by ARSOW – Nepal in the previous years are:
- Community mobilization and Income generating program (Candle & Agarbatti making training) for physically disabled people
- Food security program (Fresh vegetable and livestock promotion Sathighar, Kavre funded by Ministry of Agriculture and Cooperatives/French Cooperation.
- Awareness Raising Activities on HIV/AIDS and Sexual transmitted disease with technical and financial support of UNICEF.
- Biogas plant installation, Toilet construction, Improved cooking stove and awareness activities in Ramkot, Bhimdhunga and Ichangu Narayan VDCs of Kathmandu district funded by World Vision International, Kathamndu ADP.
- Biogas plant installation, Toilet construction, Improved cooking stove and awareness activities in Nangkhel, Sipadol, Changu Narayan, Tigani & Sudal VDCs of Bhaktapur funded by World Vision International, Bhaktapur ADP.
- Community School Support Program in Dolakha and Okhaldhunga district financial support by Ministry of Education and Sports.
- Vegetable Production, Nursery Management and Establishment training at Nangkhel, Changu of Bhaktapur, Sainbu, Bungmati of lalitpur funded by World Vision International.
- Awareness raising on Water Borne Diseases and Sanitation in Lalitpur funded by World Vision International Nepal.
- Rural Energy especially Improved cook stove development and establishment training jointly organized by World vision International and ARSOW-Nepal with financial support of World Vision.
- Drinking Water Supply and Sanitation Program in Kabre VDC of Dolakha district, Dhungkharka, Chyasingkharka Rabiopi, KavreVDCs and Panauti Nagarpalika of Kavre district.
- Integrated Child Development Program (ICDP) funded by UNICEF Nepal in Kattike Deurali VDC of Kavre
- Out of School Program OSP-I, OSP – II, OSP Pilot and Parenting Orientation in Kattike Deurali VDC, Kavre
- Income Generation and Agro-forestry Program for Disadvantaged Ethnic Groups (Damai, Sarki, Kami, Tamang, Majhi) of Kattike Deurali VDC, Kavre, funded by UNDP under Participation in Development Program (PDP) – III.
- Pit Latrine (Sulav Souchalaya) Promotion Program for Disadvantaged families and primary schools of Kattike Deurali VDC, Kavre.
- Advocacy and awareness creating activities in district and VDC level such as Child and women rights, Sanitation campaign, HIV/AIDS prevention program, NID program etc.
- Non-formal Education Program in Nagre Gagarche, Wangthali, Begsimle, Simthali, Madan Kundari and Kattike Deuarali VDCs of Kavre district with the technical and financial assistance of PACT Nepal.
- Non-formal Education and Women Literacy Program in Pokharichauri and Dhuseni Sivalaya, Majhifeda, Nagre Gagarche with the technical and financial support of UNICEF Nepal.
- Fresh Vegetable and Livestock Promotion Project, (Food Security Program), Sathighar VDC,Kavre jointly funded by Ministry of agriculture and French co operation.
- Agriculture School conduction in Nangkhel-3, Kankrabari, Bhaktapur supported by World Vision Internation Nepal Bhaktapur Area Development Program.
- Toilet Attached Biogas Program and Improved Cook Stove Program in Kathamndu and Bhaktapur funded by World Vision International Nepal
- Safe Motherhood Program in Kathamndu and Bhaktapur funded by World Vision International Nepal.
- Drinking Water Supply and Sanitation Program in Mahendra Jyoti VDC-4, Kavre VDC-6 of Kavre district and Chhaling VDC-4 of Bhaktapur, funded by Rural Drinking Water Supply and Sanitation Fund Development Board / HMG Nepal.
- Decentralized Action for Children and Women (DACAW) funded by UNICEF – Nepal in Kattike Deurali VDC, Kavre.
- 7 Drinking Water Supply and Sanitation Program in Pyuthan and Dadeldhura district funded by Community Based Drinking Water Supply and Sanitation / HMG Nepal.
- Rain Water Harvesting Project in Kavre district funded by Japan Water Fund, Japan
