WHO WE ARE
Association for Rural Social Welfare (ARSOW – Nepal) was established in 1993 as a Non-Government Organization registered in District Administration Office Kavrepalanchowk and affiliated with Social Welfare Council (SWC). Our prime aim is innovative development and resource mobilization. Moreover, we committed to create social justice and social transformation for socio-economic development of disadvantaged and marginalized people of the country. Basically, ARSOW – Nepal was initiated by a forum for sharing ideas and experiences of different development professionals from various disciplines and to contribute on the sustainable development for the use and benefit of the people.
The organization is managed by a board of executives and one of whom acts as Executive Director, who is entirely responsible for day to day affairs. The general assembly is the supreme body of the organization which elects the board of executives and ratifies program and budget in every general assembly.

Vision
To create social justice; and social transformation for socio-economic development of disadvantaged and marginalized people of the country that respect their right and dignities through their empowerment and mainstreaming in developmental activities.
Goal
Assist in social, economic, political and cultural development of the nation through eliminating avoiding the long inherited discriminatory practices and social evils against women, children, dalits, indigenous and deprived group of the society.
Objective
The development objective of the organization is to contribute for the development initiatives and poverty reduction of the rural people of the country however, the specific objectives are:
- Sustainable management and utilization of natural resources for the maximum use and benefit of the rural people of the country.
- Easy access for disadvantaged and marginalized people over resources and services;
- Assist to conflict resolution at the local level
- Capacity building of the rural people for establishing rural infrastructures and empowerment.
- Promotion of rural and renewable energy technologies.
- Assist community for sustainable development.
