ARSOW-Nepal with financial support from Mercy Corps Nepal is implementing Earthquake Recovery Project in six VDC’s from Karvepalanchok district one of the worst affected district in the devastating earthquake on April 25, 2015 followed by frequent jolts. The project aims to develop a resilient community through different support.

The project is being implemented in six 6 VDCs namely Balthali, Chyasingkharka, Mahankalchaur, ChalalGanesthan, Dhungkharka, Chyamrangbesi of the district supporting the earthquake victims in many ways. Major objective of the project is to enhance livelihood, household and community capacity to strengthen, protect and effectively access resources and livelihood strategies to enable recovery from the current disaster and enhance preparedness and response mechanism to absorb the future shocks.

Currently preparation to the community to respond to the disaster, technical support to develop skilled human resource for reconstruction, improvement of financial services by creating linkages to larger financial institutions and financial literacy to the general people are the major activites going on under the project not to mention other livelihood support programme.

The project concluded on April 20, 2017.
